The rising sun lent an orange tint to the sky that morning.  A tint that I rarely see becuase I don't get up before 10AM, usually.  But that morning, my cell phone rang, and as I pulled my head from my drool soaked pillow and looked at it, I knew that the "UNKNOWN CALLER" could only be one of two people... my mother, or my Casting Agent...  It was my Casting Agent.

The formula for a teen sex comedy is fairly simple.  Horny teen needs to get laid. Him and his crew have to drive far away to accomplish this and they get into wacky trouble on the way but our hero learns the true meaning of life.  Or something like that… Sex Drive is your typical teen sex comedy/road picture and it takes a little bit of American Pie, Weird Science and The Sure Thing and follows the formula to a “T.”

Some could argue that Sex Drive is nothing but a rip off of a lot of the popular teen movies of the last few years and others could argue that it’s nothing more than homage.  Like any film with a formula, you can forgive the pattern if the execution is handled creatively and the delivery is fresh.  Sex Drive does just that and luckily for me, I really enjoy the teen sex comedy in all its forms, and the movie excels at the genre to turn in a really fun, funny and enjoyably sweet version of the form.

Get AWAY from HER...

James Gunn is known for being the talented writer behind the recent Dawn of the Dead Remake, Both Scooby Doo movies, and the writer/director of the horror/comedy Slither.  I know him best as the guy behind Jenna Fischer.  LITERALLY! No but seriously folks, Gunn's work is a combo of horror, comedy, pop culture and fun, and nothing demonstrates that better than PG PORN.  PG PORN features apprearances by Serenity's Nathan Fillion and Smallville's Michael Rosenbaum (as well as Gunn himself) along with such porno princesses as (personal fav) Aria Giovanni, Sasha Grey and Belladonna, and is a what you might see from an old school eighties porn... if for some reason there was no sex.  Yeah, I know, but trust me, it's worth watching.  Don't believe me, read on for some convincing...

Ever since I first heard Bill Hader do Al Pacino on SNL, I immediatlely had a new favorite comedic actor.  In my early SNL reviews I even hailed Hader as the next Dan Akroyd.  Since then Hader has appeared in supporting roles in some of the biggest comedies in recent years, including Super Bad, Tropic Thunder, Hot Rod and Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and his popularity's growing.  If you haven't seen his web short for the Sony's C-Spot called the Line, YouTube search for it right now.  Until then, In case you missed it, Hader had a most excellent appearance on Letterman the other night, so check it out.  And please... Don't Hate.

That's how it all began, so long ago, during the writer's strike, when The Brothers Whedon (and Maurissa) set in motion the beginnings of the Evil League of Evil in Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.

Since the 3 part musical's internet release, Horrible-mania has gone wild.  Fan sing-alongs are cropping up all over.  Covers of songs can be found all over the YouTubes.  One enterprising young fellow even started "Doctor Horrible: The Early Years."
